San Francisco County Bail Bonds - Local Phone: 415-513-5785
San Francisco has five jails that house 2,200 prisoners but only one is used for intake and release of prisoners. If you friend or family member is arrested, a San Francisco bail bondsman can assist you with posting bail 24 hours a day, seven days a week at Room 101 of the Hall of Justice, 850 Bryant Street.
Once the bail is posted, the receipt must be delivered to the jail where the inmate is housed. To find out where the inmate is housed, call, (888) 501-2245. A panel of judges predetermines the amount of bail. A San Francisco bail bondsman will charge about ten percent of the total bail amount. Once you have a California bail bondsman, he or she can help you determine all of the steps in securing the release of your friend or family.
The inmate will be taken to Jail #9 for release. It is located at 725 Seventh St., near the Hall of Justice. Even after the bail is paid, it may take several hours before the inmate is released.
